Almost everyone I know with a blog wrote something about General Conference. It made me feel kind of bad that I only got to watch Sunday Session. I was at dang play practice all day Saturday and barely made it home in time to say good bye to Jamison as he left for Priesthood session. But other than my animosity towards the play (only because it is sucking all my time and life away from me) for making me miss the Saturday sessions, I am still so happy that I got to hear the Sunday sessions.
The words of the prophets are so edifying and encouraging. I can't help but feel wonderful after listening to four sessions of conference (although I only got to hear two this conference). Jamison and I have decided that since I didn't get to listen to Saturday that we would do that for FHE for a few weeks. When we decided that I had the thought that we should be doing this anyways. Too often I only read and listen to General Conference a few weeks after the actual two days of conference. The words that they speak to us are what the Lord would have us hear. They are tailored to us in this day and we should study them as much as we study the Book of Mormon (this is only my opinion, I am not telling anyone what to do. Rather I am expressing my won feelings and desires).
We are so lucky that God has given us wonderful prophets that love us. I am so grateful for their words and sacrifice to serve the Lord and us.
I haven't been to your blog in awhile. I guess I lost it. Spent some time reviewing your life since May. Nice blog. Not only do we enjoy conference for the content, it reminds of all of you and that we would all be watching or listening to it (including Elder Bradshaw). I always feel kind of sad when the last hymn is sung and the benediction is said for the last session, but I usually download them and listen while riding my bike.
